ZetoChain : global food-safety supply chain

Demand for food and consumer basket are increasing every year. With the growth of the world population and income level, according to estimates, by 2050 this figure will grow by another 60%. This factor affects complex and fragmented food supply chains with a large number of players covering long distances.
Food retailers are responsible for the quality of the products offered and its compliance with the standards. However, they have no idea how the supplied products were handled. This makes them vulnerable and unable to protect themselves from the risks of contaminating food.
Retailers need a rational approach to business and decision making, which not only uses advanced technologies to mitigate these risks, but also aims to increase profits and strengthen the reputation of their brand.

ZetoChain transforms current methods and methodologies into cold chain management, offering a level of transparency that will become an industry standard and will ensure cost-effectiveness and time for the competitive industry.
With ZetoChain, retailers, restaurants and companies throughout the global food service industry can be sure that the food they sell is of the highest quality. They will have records to back up this quality, which they can share with customers, manufacturers and all parties in the chain.
Customers will be able to use their own smartphones to scan labels for meat, dairy products or any fresh products that they want to purchase. With their gadget, they can track the product to its source to ensure that it has been processed, transported and stored in a safe environment throughout the life cycle.

Transparency and trust

  • Significant improvement in food safety standards.
  • Increase customer confidence by improving communication and transparency.
  • Reducing the risk of loss of brand reputation.
  • Increase transparency and trust between all parties.
  • Minimizing the risk of scandal with PR.

Waste prevention and cost savings

  • Minimizing waste by isolating problems in the cold chain through real-time alerts and the possibility of taking precautionary measures.
  • Preventing retail losses by checking the safe handling of products.

Compliance with safety standards

  • Automation of human tasks, such as monitoring and recording of temperature
  • The implementation of targeted strategies for managing the cold chain (for example, products with the shortest expiration date in the distribution center are sent to the nearest supermarket).
  • Ensuring traceability in seconds, not weeks.
  • Removing the risk of unauthorized access by using cold chain records using tamper-proof enclosures, data encryption, and blocking smart contracts.
  • Compliance with strict food safety regulations (HACCP, FSMA, FSIS).

Principle of operation

1.jpg
The worker assigns the product code to the label using the application. Platform Zeto records a smart contract for this product using the appropriate parameters (permissible ranges of temperature and humidity). The product is placed in the refrigerator and detected by the installed Zeto monitoring system in real time. In case of a problem, the responsible users are promptly warned.

The product moves from the refrigeration store to the refrigerator, in which the Zeto monitoring system is installed in real time. The system automatically detects that the goods have been moved from the cold store to the car without any user action. If the product is marked as unsafe, the corresponding users are notified, and the driver rejects it. The received products are monitored in real time during transit, and the driver is warned about any possible problems.

Workers who take delivery at a retail store use a mobile application. The goods are moved to the refrigerator, where the Zeto monitoring system is installed in real time. The product safety records in the store are automatically updated with the relevant information.

The item is tracked during its stay at the retail store. Customers can use their own smartphones to scan product labels to view processing information before purchasing. When placing an order, the Point of Sale (POS) system verifies that the food is safe and notes that the smart contract is completed.
